Using flexible seating and sensory/ fidget supports allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. I am a firm believer that providing choices with seating and sensory/fidget supports are essential to promoting a safe, open environment and promote positive behavior. The donations to this project will help my students by providing choices for movement breaks to encourage positive and maintain on-task behavior. Each of these materials will allow my students to support their individual learning goals within their IEPs and promote their diverse learning needs within the classroom environment. Most of my students are learning how to regulate their emotions and their behavior within a classroom, and providing them opportunities for different fidgets and seating options will promote their ability to self-advocate for their individual needs within the classroom.
