Students have a hard time engaging with what they’re reading because they think that what they are reading is boring and not relevant to them (outdated). Storyworks is just the right resource to expose students to different genres of literature without overwhelming them with whole novels. Students will use this reading resource in small groups, and independently, to practice analysis of author’s craft in writing as well as practice reading strategies. The goal of this project is to expose students to different reading and writing genres with the hope that they discover something about themselves and their reading preferences and writing styles.
