The benefits of showcasing student writing through publishing improves writing and reading abilities, enhances communication and collaboration skills, creates positive memories students will never forget, increases motivation and self-confidence, increases an appreciation for editing and revising, and allows students to gain recognition for a published writing project. Printing writing projects allow each child to feel like a "real author" and provides autonomy for students. Students often share with me times have changed, technology plays such an important role in developing proficient writers. Students will produce more writing when allowed to type and print their work!
