The laptop requested will allow me to deliver quality and captivating ELA lessons to the scholars in my first grade classroom. The lesson will be uninterrupted by technical laptop issues, thus allowing scholars' learning and engagement to be maximized. During our ELA read aloud and discussions, digital/ video books, and slide presentations play a vital role in the engagement of the students during class sessions. Problems arise when my camera glitches off continuously, as well as, when I require multiple tabs open (PDF's, Google Docs, Slide, Digital Book, ZOOM, etc). This either slows down, or locks my computer up; causing me to stop mid lesson, where I have to either close out all tabs and reopen the bare minimum, or log off and restart the computer and lose valuable lesson time with the students. The laptop will also assist with the visual presentations and experiments during the after-school Science Club. Receiving the laptop will not only allow me to deliver optimal lessons to increase their learning, it will also allow me to continue to have quality, engaging discussions with my inquisitive, creative, and, artistic students!
