Help me get my students high quality headphones for listening activities and sets of high-interest books for literature circles! Reading is already the bane of some students' school life, and the pandemic has made focusing on a novel and getting into a book an even bigger challenge. I want to start and end the year with high-interest literature circles. In the literature circles, students will be able to choose: choose their book, choose their format, choose how and where to read. Choice is something they have had little of due to some of the necessities of distance learning. Additionally, students crave socializing with other students, but are also less adept at it that pre-pandemic. I want to give students a structure to converse and relearn social skills that may be a bit rusty.
