Each morning we start our day out with a social emotional lesson to see how everyone is doing and to start our day off right. With these stories, my class will have a great start to their day with positive and diverse stories that talk about experiences that they may be going through. This will help my first graders learn how to process their emotions and how to be a positive student in my classroom. By seeing themselves represented in these stories, they will be able to relate more to the message, and gain a better understanding of the lesson being taught.
