Phonics/Phonemic Awareness is the key component to learning how to read. These skills are crucial and a major focus in kindergarten. As studies show, students learn better through kinesthetic, hands-on learning as well as using technology. The Square Panda program is well-developed and proven to be a successful hands-on approach to learning how to read. We have one set in our classroom already that was purchased by the teacher personally. The students fight over who will be able to play. It would mean a lot to the teachers and students to have enough to use during center rotations for every child to have the opportunity to use each day.

About my class
