Urban Prep is the first all-male public charter school in America. At Urban Prep, we believe that all of our students will successfully complete college. Our Urban Prep Campus is located in a Chicago neighborhood notorious violence and crime. Urban Prep students, however, march to a different beat. Each one of our students has plans to attend and graduate from a four-year college or university. Each day, they affirm their beliefs in themselves and their success alongside teachers and staff. School hours are extended, students dress professionally including shirts, blazers, ties, and dress shoes, and the Urban Prep Creed, which details what it means to be exceptional, is recited daily as a community. While faculty and students alike have faith that our students will be successful, it is essential that we have the resources needed to help them receive the BEST educational experience possible to help make success a reality.
