Odyssey Voyagers embark on our learning adventures as we strive to become world wide citizens prepared to work and serve in a global environment. In our efforts to teach students how to learn, I've created a classroom maker space with hands on activities to further explore core concepts. I'd like to provide opportunities for students to use hydroponics and grow their own food. A 3D printer will allow them to further explore projects such as structure and function in animals, create a classroom business through our partnership with Junior Achievement and explore improvements in building structures to minimize the impact of earthquakes. Each student has daily passion project time to further explore core concepts, create experiments to test hypotheses and to develop projects demonstrating their learning. In order to develop skills with problem solving and creation, we need to further our maker space skills and materials. This type of Project Based Learning is vital for preparing our young people to be leaders and productive in solving real world problems. Can you please help our students with more hands on activities to enrich their learning?
