These stools will be used instead of chairs. Young artists need space to work without bumping into each other. I currently have adult-size chairs in the art room that are always catching on the legs of other chairs, sticking out well beyond the table when a young child is sitting on them. It is hard to arrange students at tables when the chairs keep hindering how students sit in relation to the table and to each other. This project will allow kids to sit or stand and work while taking up minimal space in the art room. This will help keep students focused on their work and not on being bumped and knocked from the clumsiness of their too-big chairs!
