Many of my students are extremely interested in rapping and creating their own beats/ tracks for their music. Our performing arts program does not currently have a place for students to learn music technology basics. It is our desire to set up a mini, student accessible studio in one of the band practice rooms. We will use a school provided computer monitor to set up all of the equipment including the interface, microphone, headphones, and desk. The interface will be hooked up to the computer and will be used to enhance the quality of recording. The headphones and microphone will be used to record and listen to the audio tracks produced. The studio equipment will allow students to further develop their craft and will give us a practical outlet use during music technology classes. It is my hope that a great deal students will benefit from this mini studio. This will enhance the overall appreciation and dedication to the performing arts program.
