My children are in second and third grade. They attend a rural K-8 school outside Portland, Oregon. Children at this age often learn best from hands on experience with manipulative's that accurately describe a concept. A globe is a much more accurate map of what the earth looks like. It would be nice to have two globes for small groups of children to work with.
