My students are autistic both verbal and non-verbal. And communication matters the most to me for them. In the classroom I practice communication and helping them achieve their academic, self-help, etc goals. I happen to believe the center time board and the magnetic board will enhance my students ability to come up to the board and express their knowledge of the material that’s being taught to them. They’ve been doing a great job with just dry eraser markers, and sitting for instruction, but the magnetic board plus the center time board will allow them to interact more and gain additional communication skills. The individual boards are for ELA lessons and putting words together and holding the board up. I happen to believe these materials will help me help them gain additional motor skills plus effective communication skills for in the classroom, at home,etc.
