These materials will help build the "Resting Area" we have created in our classroom. This is a place where our students can come to take a break, have time alone, cool/calm down, and a place to feel welcomed and accepted. There are books, fidget toys, music, visual icons, and sensory tools that they can utilize to help them express and manage their emotions. This is also something that we incorporate with homework we send home for the week. So to be able to encourage and teach our parents how to utilize what we are doing in the classroom is vital to the development of our little preschool friends!
