We will use these books to explore our feelings, identities and strategies to create a peaceful Montessori classroom community. Students love to read quality literature on their own and we also have daily read aloud routines to expose children to new topics that expand their knowledge. These books will enhance our classroom library and the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. I have chosen a collection that provides something for all of the children at their own reading levels. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. Students will be able to choose books during independent reading time. With these new books, my students will be given tools to help them navigate both the classroom and world with their new SEL skills.

About my class
