Teaching in a Title I school is challenging as we are teaching a population that typically does not have access to the basic needs of school supplies. I chose things like rulers and graph paper, pencils, and erasers to make sure my Title I students have the basic supplies they need to be successful in school. Math games and incentives like erasers and stickers are a fun way to keep students engaged and motivated. Supplies like giant graph paper make math projects fun and exciting. Coming back from being online where many students did not have supplies or supervision has proven to be a huge challenge in coming back to the classroom.
