We will read authentic materials not only to learn the Spanish language as a communication tool but also to learn about the racial, cultural, and geographic diversity that makes up the world of Spanish speakers. The students' identities and those of the people and places they will learn about will be honored and celebrated through their reading journey! Students become more powerful thinkers and writers when they read a lot. I often have students write in journals and their proficiency skills improve rapidly when they are in the constant habit of reading diverse texts.

About my class
