Teaching a child how to read is one task. Working with the child to help them enjoy reading is quite another. The items requested in this project will be used to create a comfortable, warm, and inviting classroom library. Reading can be a source of anxiety and frustration for some students. I aspire to create an environment that combats the anxieties that they may have. The carpet and small sofa will be used as a place where students can read a book of their choice. The books will be used in the classroom library. They will also be used in whole group reading lessons.
