Math and Engineering are so fundamental these days, that students who do not excel in logical/mathematical and scientific thinking will be at a disadvantage in later schooling and when choosing careers. These are bright kids, and they need to have the background necessary to choose careers in medicine, engineering, computer science and other STEM fields if their interests take them that way. They already like math, but they need to practice skills and problem solving. For elementary students, the opportunity for hands on learning is key. Being able to program the robots to obey their commands beats video games every day. The more they enjoy STEM, the more they will practice, and the better they will get at it!
