Our students learn from the teachers and counselor both in person and virtually. I specifically teach social, emotional, and behavioral skills. The double screen allows me to view and communicate with my students while presenting learning materials at the same time. I also work with families and provide counseling to individuals and families while they are virtual when face-to-face counseling cannot be provided due to COVID restrictions. We are spending a lot of time focusing on self-regulation, taking responsibility for their choices, and problem-solving. The children truly want to learn and show it in their participation, ideas, and smiles.
