My goal this year is to put more books in my students' hands. I will use these books in two main ways this year. First, we will be doing reader's workshop in class. Each student will need a novel. They will practice various reading skills with this novel so it needs to be a book they enjoy. Second, the students will be doing a reading log competition. To encourage independent reading, I will ask that students compete for number of books read this year. I want my personal library to be a resource to support students on this endeavor.
