I am a new teacher trying to build a classroom library filled with amazing, diverse children's' books. I am teaching at an elementary school through zoom. I also tutor a select group of students in person. I currently have several students who struggle with and do not enjoy reading. My goal is to share my love of books with them and to encourage them to read more in order to build their reading skills. I want all students to be able to see themselves in the books in my classroom. I want diverse titles, and stories that teach important lessons like kindness and empathy.
