The books, The Cool Bean, The Good Egg, and The Bad Seed already have spots waiting for them on my bookshelf! These are great books that teach kids they can make mistakes, they don't have to be perfect, and what it means to be "cool" and how they can use their "coolness" for good. These books will not only help students become the best version of themselves, but they will help them become better readers too. These are lessons every human should learn and will be a staple in my classroom for years to come! The box set, My Little Spot of Emotions, will help students identify the emotions they are feeling. There is a wide range of emotions humans face everyday and these books will help students become aware of what they are feeling and help them develop a plan to help them self regulate when they are having strong emotions. I plan to use these books to help students identify what they are feeling throughout the year. These books will be my reference guide. The box set, My little Spot of Life Skills, will help students in my class develop the life skills they need in order to be happy, healthy, productive kids. These books focus on courage, perseverance, teamwork, optimism, giving, and creativity. These themes will help my student find more success in the classroom by inspiring them to do their best and work well with others. This will transfer over into their adult life helping them become productive, thoughtful, and happy citizens.
