Our students really enjoy hands on activities that are encouraged by play. We use math, science, reading, social-emotional, writing and the arts to shape each child's learning success daily in a virtual format at this time. Each day when we meet we have a new dance or song, count or talk about numbers, share stories together, discuss our feelings along with many more fun and engaging activities. These doctor kits would not only help us to discuss community helpers, but they would help the children to learn the best way they know how which is through play. The one thing that our students are missing is the dramatic play that we used to have every day in our classrooms. Play encourages language development, empathy, concentration, problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, creativity, comprehension, and social skills in young children.
