It can be difficult to find books for readers who face learning challenges. It is important that reading material has content that is interesting and age appropriate while presenting it through text that is approachable. This year in particular, we face extra challenges because we teach both in school and remotely. These books will allow the curriculum to be offered equally at school and to those student who are learning at home. Every child needs books that bring meaningful learning into their lives, especially this year. These biographies will offer diversity in historical figures, and in doing so, will offer broadened perspectives and inspiration to our reading program. The books are beautifully written and have artwork that reflects the simplicity and clarity in text, helping our struggling readers to experience heroes from so many different backgrounds.
