In kindergarten, children begin to grow as independent readers and become more comfortable with reading, which is now part of their daily life. Students read books, the day's schedule, class letters, songs, and poems throughout the day. These students are excited about reading! Student learning is enhanced when home to school learning is connected. Funding this project will allow students to have their own books for independent reading time and reading at home. I have a goal to fully equip my kindergarten class with the reading skills they need for first grade and beyond.

About my class
