My room is a self contained room where we have A LOT of space, but not many materials OR places to put them! All students, but my students specifically need structure and certainty. Having a place for everything will help my students easily identify their wants and needs and help encourage expressive language! The clock requested will help us during circle time to learn telling time - a necessary life skill! The coat rack will help me teach students how to hang their coats/jackets. Some daily living skills may seem so simple and naturally occurring - but in fact do need to be taught!
