My students are adjusting to both in-school and at-home learning and I am constantly trying to find ways to keep them engaged and safe. Keeping materials close by and having enough books to use throughout the week is important in order to support learning and organizational skills. Seat sacks will help them stay organized and have their materials in a safe place. My students also often struggle with not being about to hear when learning at home due to not having headphones. In first grade, students practice decoding letters and words as they learn to read and build fluency. Headphones for each child will help make a difference in my students listening and speech skills as they will be able to hear and articulate sounds better. With "work from home" becoming the new normal, I need to support my students with supplies that with help them succeed.
