All students deserve to see themselves represented in their schools and classrooms. And, that extends to the bookshelves. I want each and every one of my students to find a book that makes them say, “I could have written this myself” and “I just can’t put this book down!” I want to see their love for reading grow and flourish. In order to create life long readers we must bridge the gap in representation on our books shelves. My students want to see their faces reflected from our bookshelves. With your help, I hope to move one step closer to bridging the gap.
