A lot of the material or equipment needed is to help these students be more confident and more effective in their craft. The Black Jackets are for the girls track and field because we have had some black tights donated to us but no jackets for the girls to wear during practice or to a meet. We do have uniforms but there isn't enough for all the girls to look the same. The agility parachute will help with strength and speed while running. Not only can Track use it but so can soccer, baseball, softball, cross country, and football. All sports will be able to utilize the equipment to help their student athletes prosper in their craft. These materials requested will help these students build character and confidence for themselves. Some students come into sports and have their heads down because they don't think they can do it or feel they are strong enough. We are here to help them build confidence and help them discover a work ethic that will help them not only in sports but in everyday life. We also need to make sure our students are equipped with the right activewear to be successful. If they don't feel like they have the right clothes on or the right shoes then they won't be productive in their performance. Character and Confidence doesn't end in sports it also shows in classrooms while learning and in everyday life. The Better someone feels about themselves the more they want to do for themselves. I think if a lot of these students had more confidence then they would care about their character that is seen by other people and they would do better in class , home, and work.
