Working as team leader on a project for 8 first and second grade classrooms creates a continuum of learning for our primary students. The WeDo 2.0 Core Sets will allow us to harness our students' interest in STEM and hands-on learning by providing age appropriate tools to introduce and explore elementary science concepts. Every student I work with has shared examples of their LEGO explorations at home, describing imaginative solutions to problems they have identified from their curious perspectives. Utilizing LEGO to introduce concepts and skills will connect their personal interests to school curriculum, motivating them to go deeper and to develop their ability to express their new understandings and ideas with others.
