Most students spent last year with limited opportunities to play and interact with other children. My students will spend this year in the actual classroom with other students and I want to provide them daily opportunities for independent exploration where they can choose where to explore within developmentally appropriate centers. The Magna-Tiles and Marble Run along with blocks and other resources will allow students opportunities to play side by side with their peers while also helping students to grow socially and develop communication skills. There will be countless opportunities for students to communicate with one another and develop vocabulary. Building with the Magna-Tiles and Marble Run pieces will also provide students opportunities to develop problem-solving and reasoning skills.
