If I have a document camera, I can model examples for students and display their work. This will allow me to provide better instruction and meet their learning needs. A document camera will help my students meet the following Oklahoma Academic Standards: 11.1.R.3, 11.1.W.1, 11.7.R.1, 11.7.R.2, and 11.7.W.2. Interacting with the text is an integral part of analyzing literature, and it is difficult to model these skills without a document camera. Having a document camera would provide a hands-on approach to teaching annotation virtually and in-person, which would impact all of my students during this challenging year and beyond.
