Through distance learning, students are often listening to read alouds of different books. With an upcoming unit in literacy that focuses on Beverly Clearly's The Mouse and The Motorcycle, students can benefit from reading the story in their own hands! Being able to physically hold a book as you read has better impacts on your brain than reading it through a screen. Turning each page and getting lost in the words can allow students to better explore the imagery in books. By giving students their own copy of the book, I believe it will better engage them in their learning.
