As we model instruction, the color blocks will help students visualize volume and the number line will help those still struggling with rational numbers, both in-person and virtual learners. As our students are returning to the classroom for in-person learning, we are finding out that keeping them focused is harder than ever. Wobble cushions and light filters are crucial in the classroom. I need all the help I can get. I have a student who returned due to health issues brought about or worsened as a result of the amount of time spent on a laptop for online instruction. As educators, we are facing an incredible amount of obstacles in keeping our students engaged, now more than ever given the restrictions we face in the classroom due to the pandemic.
