This is my first year teaching and I am trying my best to make it as amazing as possible for my students. I try my best to supply everything I can to meet their needs, but one thing I noticed that my classroom is lacking in is nonfiction and diverse picture books. Picture books are essential for student's learning as they are of high interest and the students can truly connect with them. Nonfiction books are so helpful for learning science and social studies subjects, especially things that can be hard to grasp as they have never experienced it before. It is also so important that they are getting exposed to those diverse titles because it's important that they have books where they can see themselves in the character's experiences. Anything received is appreciated! Thank you!
