Some of these materials will be used to teach students who are 100% virtual. Other materials will be used in class for students that love to be hands-on. The snap dinosaurs and robots along with the paint set will be engaging and they will help with their fine motor skills. Little hands need to develop strength and dexterity. This can be accomplished by exposure to toys and activities. These types of “play” activities and manipulation skills will help prepare a child to hold and use a crayon and pencil. The picture and number magnets will be used with the students who are learning virtually. I use a magnetic board which these will be perfect for. Having these items will allow students to have more of a choice in their play and empower them in their own learning. When they feel empowered, they take learning into their own hands.
