Fun, easy to read series books are often the catalyst to turn reluctant readers into lifelong readers. As a librarian, I can hook students with one book, and when they love it, there are several more to follow. Suddenly, a student who is excited about reading is born! The series books in this project are new to our library or complete a series that we already have--and have been selected based on student suggestions and interests. When possible, I chose library binding or hard covers so that the books will have an extended circulation time before they wear out. I would love to create more excitement about reading in the library with new titles that are of high interest to the students.
