Sadly, my students are only allowed to come to school in person one day a week. I will encourage them to unplug from computers and to fly kites. They will use found plastic bags in their kite designs. TRADITION: We will study the history of kites. KITE KITS: Students will receive recycled plastic bags, string, paint, dowels, reeds, and glue. SCIENCE: I will introduce basic aerodynamic concepts. SHOW & TELL: I will have students share about their experience of making and flying their kites through what ever medium they choose.
