On Fridays, I reserve time to integrate our art and science curriculum while strengthening the social-emotional well-being of my students. This special block of time ignites my students' passion for learning!
The book, Ada Twist, Scientist will inspire my kindergarteners to believe that you are never too young to be a scientist!
We will use the multicultural crayons to draw self portraits of ourselves as marine biologist, archaeologists, computer programmers and more. The STEM picture books will encourage my students to observe our natural world as both scientists and artists. Students will squeal with delight as they use Sharpies to complete directed drawing lessons. Kindergarteners will love the smell of a new box of crayons and the rainbow of colors to choose from as they add color and details to their artwork.
As you can see, these materials will positively impact my students by increasing student engagement, meeting Next Generation Science Standards and giving students a creative outlet for challenging times.
Thank you for making distance learning a memorable and fun experience for our youngest learners, scientists and artists!
