COVID-19 has made teaching art difficult. Not only do I have to teach some students remotely, students who may or may not have access to art supplies at home, I also have to teach making sure that students stay safe and don't share art supplies. For my students, art is something that they look forward to every week. I want to make sure all of my students have what they need to enjoy the art projects that allow them to escape COVID-19 worries for a few minutes! This project is for some simple art supplies that allow all students access to needed items for upcoming art projects. This includes Do-a-Dot art markers (which we need multiple sets of since students cannot share supplies during class), burlap, and no tip water cups so that my smallest and most challenged learners can participate in the fun. There are enough supplies so that some sets can be sent home for remote learners, and be used in the classroom. Art education is such an important part of our students' daily lives, and therefore all students must have equal access to supplies whether they are at home or in the classroom. I cannot wait to engage my students in some great upcoming projects!
