Students in science class need hands-on experiments and visual learning opportunities for deeper understanding. Students need hands-on science experiments in order for the concepts to come alive and make the connection between concept and reality. When the concepts become relevant to life, they remember them and enjoy learning about these concepts. Differentiated learning involves seeing, hearing, and having manipulatives to reach all students and their learning styles. My project is to get much needed lab equipment for visual learning and hands-on experiments. Please help me support my students' learning. My students will appreciate it. In sixth grade science, we learn about weather and climate, body systems and cell theory so these items would help students with forming a deeper understanding of concepts.
