Our students are learning to decode words in order to improve their reading and writing skills. As part of our daily routine, students practice their phonetic skills by writing words and marking the phonetic signs. These whiteboards will allow my students to write down the word as I dictate them. Students will hold up their boards to me. This will show me if they are understanding the skill that is being taught. Students will benefit from using their whiteboards to express their ideas, answers, or to let me know if they understand the skills being taught. It is an environmental alternative to paper.
