The purpose of this project is to help our students out this year with all the COVID guidelines. Since our students are in school for this whole year, we have had to remain sitting in rows spaced out and not get up and move the way we normally would. Usually we get to sit in pods and have lots of group work and chances to change positions during the day. This year has been much different with socially distancing in our small classroom. This project will benefit us so much because students learn better when they can be comfortable and adding a cushy wiggle seat will aid in that comfort. Both of these are instrumental in students learning and retaining what they learn. They retain information when they can move and having the band around the bottom of our desks will allow that chance for seated movement!
