These books will allow readers at a variety of levels to have book choices that are appealing and allow them to practice strategies taught during lessons. Students will read theses books after a mini lesson during which they are taught a strategy. They will apply the strategy by reading a book at their individual levels. When students have access to books that are both appropriate and engaging, their motivation increases. Choice is an important component of learning and engagement. These books will allow them to practice reading strategies and feel pride in their reading.
