These materials will make an enormous difference in the daily experience of both teachers and children. Each material in the project is meant to fulfill a wide array of gross motor skills. The exercise mats will offer a safe place to tumble and roll. The Plyo Box and half yoga ball will be used for jumping and balancing. The ladder toss will be a safe indoor throwing option. And the Moluk Bilibo teeterboard provides excellent sensory input through rocking, using core strength to produce the force needed to create the desired movement. As children are given the opportunity to engage in these skills and use their bodies and energy, they will be better equipped to regulate themselves within their learning environment.
