The materials that I have asked for will help to support my EL students in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students who are learning another language learn better when they use manipulatives. These materials will not only help students in person but also those that are remote. My students will love to use vocabulary cards, making words with plastic letters, and little trinkets to help with letter identification. With these new materials, I will be able to provide my students with several hands-on opportunities to help them better develop their English language skills. Being able to manipulate/use realia or concrete objects helps students to bridge their two languages.
