These materials will be used during botany class, students will learn how to grow and sustain a garden through hydroponics and traditional soil-gardening methods. We have a beautiful greenhouse and a hydroponic system that needs constant upkeep. Students will grow vegetables and herbs to take home. We will also market our garden and sell vegetables and herbs to continue the work for years to come. These materials will help us bring our greenhouse to life and provide the students the experience of growing something that can nourish their family with. This pandemic shed light on many food insecurities that our students were faced with. The price of produce is expensive and one of the reasons we want to show our kids that growing and maintain a garden can be done.
