Having access to bikes will boost the students' gross motor skills which for many are delayed. At this time we have limited bikes available and having adults support them at school will hopefully transfer to their skills at home and interest in having a bike at home. Adding the signs to the gym will make the activity more inviting to my young students. They will learn letters/colors that appear on the signs which are skills they are learning while attending pre-k. Also, having the bikes will allow them to take turns. Sharing the bikes, which will have to happen, is another life skill that is critical for my little ones.
