Not only do I set aside time in class for my students to regain their love of reading, I offer the option to "check out" books from my personal library. They've reconnected with their love of reading and sometimes can't put the books down. Building my library will not only help students in the classroom, but it will offer an at-home option for students wishing to extend the reading experience. It is wonderful to have so many students finding their way back to a pastime that they have long forgotten.
